Dear Father,
Thank you for a wonderful wedding, everyone had a blast an got back home safely! We didn’t stress too much and all the (little) planning we did truly paid off. Thank you for everything as we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding!!
Now that we are happily married I ask that you guide us, specifically me, to come closer to you. Stef has a stronger foundation than me, and I hope that by being married to her, you use her to make me grow more and that I do not cause her to lose focus on You.
One of the things that I have trouble with is sharing the The Good Word with others, especially my family. In Isaiah 42:1 God promises to put his spirit upon his servants and that he will “not be disheartened or crushed, Until he has established justice in the earth” I have trouble here because since I feel my foundation isn’t strong enough that someone will come along and try to knock me off my “foundation”. I find peace in verses 6-7, “I am the Lord and I have called you in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Nations” You say you will hold my hand and that makes me feel better in knowing I won’t get lost in translation. Also in Luke 12:11 when You are talking about defending the faith you says, “Do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” This helps me tremendously because I’m not the type to memorize verses, I know some but not many, maybe I should work on this aspect as well. I pray you continue to guide us to you as this world is filled with distractions. Give me the strength to share your word wherever I may go. In the Great Commission, you pretty much say: “Go!” So give us the strength to do what you have commanded. Maybe theres a Mission trip or a retreat in store for us/me?
I want to be on fire for you, hearing Stef’s stories just makes me want the same thing. She’s such a fireball and her social butterflyness you’ve bestowed upon her is the perfect combination for outreach. I’ll follow you, if you lead me.

I love you!!
